The Rezidor Hotel Group plans to open a Radisson Blu hotel nearby Nottingham at East Midlands Airport in the UK. The 216-room hotel will open in early 2012.
The Radisson Blu Hotel has a great location - 800 meters from the main Terminal at East Midlands Airport and along the M1 highway, which is one of Great Britain's major and busiest highways.
In addition to luxury rooms, the hotel offers its guests a free high speed internet access, a restaurant as well as cocktail bar and coffee shop. 750 sq.m. of meeting zone will allow the Radisson Blu Hotel to strengthen its position in the MICE-market, and a spacious fitness center with gym and indoor swimming pool will create excellent conditions for rest and having relaxing holidays. The hotel design will incorporate modern technologies that significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions, which in the process can help cut expenses of the operator.
East Midlands Airport is known to be one of the 10 largest airports in Great Britain, with almost 6 million passengers a year. This is a major center of business tourism and a hub for budget airlines, such as BMIbaby and Ryanair. The business parks located next to hotel, as well as the nearby cities of Leicester, Derby and Nottingham will facilitate the flow of guests in the new Radisson Blu.
All Residor airport hotels combine modern architecture and design with unique service concepts such as, for example, "Grab & Run" (an early breakfast), express laundry, business rooms equipped with Nespresso coffee machines, expanded bathroom accessories sets and daily newspapers.
