The Maritim Hotel Grand Azur Marmaris, Turkey, has gained the Excellence Award 2009 from Thomas Cook, a famous British tour operator. The award ceremony took place on July 15, 2010.
Each year, in the end of summer, Thomas Cook asks its clients to share feedback about their chosen hotels. Emphasis is placed on the following criteria: service, food quality, dining service quality and entertainment. About 94 percent of clients estimated Maritim Hotel Grand Azur as 'good' and 'excellent' and said they wanted to come back again. Dirk Rehorst, manager of the hotel in Marmaris, called it a 'one-hundred-per-cent success' and said: 'We are very proud to have received this prestigious award that testifies to our success in making our guests happy. This is going to be our primary goal in future'.
According to ftnews.com, the hotel in Turkey has been managed by Maritim since 2007. The hotel features 288 rooms, including 27 suites, a two-level swimming complex and a variety of sports and recreation facilities, like spa and fitness centers. Located on the coast of the Aegean Sea, it provides easy access to the pier and the beach.
