Four Seasons hotel in Bangkok is readying to host the World Gourmet Festival. This time, the event will continue from September 6 through September 12. In line with tradition, the festival will be headed by the world's best chief cooks, including:
Anthony Demeter – a chief cook from Wild Honey and Arbutus Michelin star restaurants of several London hotels, Great Britain;
Alejandro Dijilio, Argentina, head chef of the La Vineria De Gualterio Bolivar, hotel in Buenos Aires.
Gale Gand, chef confectioner and co-owner of TRU restaurant, Chicago.
Douglas Keen, head chef and owner of Cyrus - a Michelin star restaurant, California.
Participating in the event are also Elvin Leung (Hong Kong) Brant Savage (Australia), Matteo Vigotti (Italy), Lionel Becca (Japan), and Chandler Burr (USA)
Traditionally, each chef is supposed to set up two evening meals at the hotel's restaurants. However, there is an exception: Gale Gand will be offering after-dinner tea in the hotel's lobby for three days. The September 11 Gala Supper is expected to become the main event, all meals cooked by the chefs.
The project in Thailand is coordinated by Nicolas Schneller, head chef of Hour Seasons Bangkok Hotel, as well as Satoshi Savada and Danilo Ayassa, head chefs of Shintaro and Biscotti.
