Ust-Katchka resort has been part of AMAKS Hotels & Resorts, a Russian hospitality group, since 2007. The company has chosen to deal in renovating hotels in Russia and making them into modern-style complexes, classified internationally as 3-4*. This appears to be a grand concept, since it's no secret that most domestic and international hotel operators prefer to invest in 'starrier' hotels, which few Russian people can afford. AMAKS Hotels & Resorts offers affordable, yet high quality services, so that people from remote parts of the country can travel, rest and use hospitality and medical services without any fear of costs or poor service.
The eight resorts comprising the hotel complex in Perm, just 200 km from Ekaterinburg can accept 2,000 persons. The service staff is about as large, so there is one service guy per customer on the average. Most of the staff live in a nearby settlement featuring a shopping mall, drugstore, entertainment center with a restaurant, bars and a kid's bar, internet cafe (WI-FI is soon to be launched), bowling club and other sorts of entertainment. All that is found right next to the resort's gate.
According to Olga Chramonina, AMAKS Hotels & Resorts standardization and service manager, the resort in Perm has obtained a top level water park with a spa center, and a number of new special services and programs have been introduced. Advanced staff training programs have contributed to the high level of service and positive feedback from customers and journalists.
