Hilton Worldwide hotel group has announced the opening of Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk, its largest hotel in the Asia Pacific region. Featuring 1 052 rooms and 6 000 square meters of business space, the hotel has become Hilton's first hotel in Fukuoka – a large transportation hub connecting Japan with South Korea located 800km east from Tokyo. Formerly known as JAL Resort Sea Hawk Hotel Fukuoka, the hotel is in for $20 million renovation that will involve the floor with business luxury rooms, parlor and other community areas. Hiltonglobalmediacenter.com reports that Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk hotel has become Hilton's eighth and Hilton Worldwide's ninth hotel in Japan.
'Being Japan's number-one brand, Hilton is proud to open this grand hotel, which can well be termed an independent resort. Guests can enjoy Hilton's hospitable attitude and take a look at one of Japan's most cosmopolitan cities,' says Dave Horton, Hilton Hotels' global development manager.
Located on the bank of the Fukuoka river, the hotel offers scenic views of the ocean; it is part of a large and dynamic trade and entertainment center Hawks Town – the biggest one on the Kyushu Island.
The hotel features several restaurants and bars, 6 000 square-meter conference area, six conference rooms, 13 negotiation rooms, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and spa with sauna.
