The floor in the Kazan Cathedral is covered with rare and increadibly beautiful marble, sills in the Hermitage are also made of the material, as well as some halls of St. Petersburg metro have beautiful marble finish. The canyon is flooded nowadays, and the surrounding area is declared a nature reserve.
Today it is a favourite place for lovers of beauty and historical heritage which is completely equipped for tourism. Tourists will be able to stroll along the comfortable paths and enjoy the scenery, ride a boat and visit different viewing platforms. In sweltering heat it is so difficult to resist the temptation to take a swim in crystal clear water, so it’s worth considering that the water is always very cold here. Over the years, the slopes around the canyon are densely covered in trees and bushes, that’s why it is hard to understand at a glance that a man had a hand in the formation of such a harmonious geological formations.
