As you can guess, the people of San Francisco love bright shows – and another confirmation of this is when, every year in mid-March, a parade is held in honor of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. The central streets of the city are painted in green. Local pubs and bars prepare for this day a special menu and music program with live musicians – yes, and the whole city is covered with an extravaganza and festive atmosphere, which is best suited to make new acquaintances. Children will also get a lot of pleasure from attending the festival, as the organizers have arranged for them, an interesting entertainment program.
The locals love beer, meeting annually and inviting city guests to visit three main festivals dedicated to the foamy drink. The first festival is held in mid-April and is called the International Beer Festival. Visiting the event, you can try more than a hundred varieties of beer, represented by companies from around the world. The festival takes place in the Festival Pavilion, which is located on the territory of the Fort Mason Center. The second beer event takes place in mid-July at the Marin County Fair & Exposition complex. Its peculiarity is that all the money realized during the festival goes to a charity fund in support of women diagnosed with breast cancer. The picturesque Pier 48 becomes the venue for the famous German festival, Oktoberfest. Here, it is called Oktoberfest by the Bay and is held at the same time as its German counterpart.
