Those who love eco-tourism should be advised to visit Günnücek national Park “Marmaris Milli Parkı”, which is the most important natural attraction in the region. On its territory, you can find rare trees (which will certainly impress botanists and biology enthusiasts), and the abundance of lush vegetation that evokes thoughts of a real oasis. In addition, the Park has a protective function — for example, there are local animals that are threatened with extinction (caracals, bears, foxes, squirrels, wild goats). The nature reserve is perhaps the best place in the whole town to have a picnic and have a great time in nature, enjoying the fantastic views of Marmaris and its surroundings.
A walk along the picturesque Netsel Marina will be no less remarkable time spending. What can be more pleasant in Marmaris than ships coming and going, or the yachts standing at the Harbor? Moreover, you have a chance to enjoy the magnificent views and breathe in the fresh sea air. The views would be even more fantastic if you get to one of the festivals dedicated to yachting or water sports (and they are held throughout the year). Cruises to nearby Islands (Rhodes, Kechi) depart from the port, and you should not miss this opportunity to explore the picturesque expanses. You can also rent a luxury yacht and ride “with the wind”.
