Niederdorf is considered a historic district of the city. In the daytime tourists can walk through the picturesque old streets of the city and see beautiful historic buildings. In the evening the squares of the city often become the location of different performances by street acrobats, musicians and dancers. Liebfrauen Catholic Church was built a little earlier, in 1893. The name of the church is literally translated as "Beloved Woman". In the hall of the church visitors can see a beautiful statue of Madonna, and the walls of the church are decorated with skillful paintings, which are the creation of the famous artist Fritz Kunz. Predigerkirche tower is one of the oldest monuments of the city. It was built in 1230 and was a part of the monastery founded the Order of Dominicans. On Sundays a weekend mass takes place in the church, and on weekdays the landmark is free to be visited by tourists, who want to capture the ancient monument on their photos and videos. Zurich is the location of a huge number of museums and art galleries. The most famous of them are Swiss National Museum, Museum of Fine Arts and Rietberg Museum.
