The main sight of Dublin is St Patrick's Cathedral that can be seen on the central square of Dublin. Many centuries ago here lived Saint Patrick. He organized christening of the locals and so many people gathered on the square to pray or to sanctify icons. Among interesting and memorable places in Dublin we should definitely mention Ely Place, Marriott Square, and Fitzwilliam Square. Many memorable obelisks are installed on these squares. Dublin Palace is the oldest building in the city. In was built in the 12th century. For a long time the palace was used as a summer residence of Irish kings. Later the palace was used as the residence of the British administration.
Among cultural facilities of Dublin we should definitely mention the National Theater of Ireland “Abbey”, Dublin Civil Museum, State Concert Hall, National Gallery and several libraries opened over a hundred years ago. You should also definitely visit Trinity College that was founded by the order of the queen Elizabeth in the end of the 16th century.
