Skiathos also houses the Agios Nikolaos Church and Clock Tower. In addition to its main function, the building of the place of worship (its tower to be precise) is an excellent viewing platform. From here, the best views of the capital of the island can be beheld. Another important attraction of the island is the Panagia Eikonistria Monastery. It is situated in the middle of the picturesque Dasi Skiathou Park. This is perhaps one of the most spacious places of worship in the whole island.
