Konstanz has a great aquarium called SEA LIFE where visitors can appreciate the amazing beauty of the underwater world. The oceanarium is very large, there are 35 aquariums within its walls, as well as a large transparent tunnel, passing through which feels like walking on the seabed. In total, the aquariums contain more than 3,500 marine inhabitants, including rare species of sharks and rays, crocodiles and sea turtles. Here, visitors are offered very informative tours, during which they can feed some sea creatures on their own.
Water sports enthusiasts will be interested in visiting a local sailing school located on the lakeshore. Here, everyone can learn how to handle a sailing vessel, as well as master some water sports, under the guidance of professional instructors. Courses on wakeboarding, water skiing, and powerboating are organized for visitors to the center. The largest number of activities is available to visitors to the sailing school in the summer.
In the warm season, hiking up the Giessberg Mountain is popular among hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. At the top of the mountain, one will find the best observation points in town and the city university. Its adjacent territory is distinguished by gorgeous landscaping and an interesting botanical garden. At any time of the year, you can visit greenhouses and admire exotic plants brought from different countries of the world. In summer, park areas lying on the top of the mountain are ideal for sports entertainment and picnicking.
