Most of the monuments that can be seen on the territory of the Necropolis were erected in the period from the 22nd to the 12th century BC. Surprisingly, many of them have retained their original shape almost invariably after several thousand years. The most famous and significant sights of the historical complex are the Karnak and Luxor Temples, which are connected with each other by a beautiful avenue of Sphinxes. They are the most magnificent temple complexes and are located on the eastern coast of the Nile. Several thousand years ago, houses of the nobility and chic palaces were situated next to these temples. The sumptuous complex was surrounded by exotic gardens with rare plants.
A visit to the Karnak Temple, in which the column hall was perfectly preserved. In the hall one can see more than 130 columns, the height of which is 16 meters. The walls of the temple are adorned with fine and colorful bas-reliefs. In high season impressive light and music shows take place regularly in the ancient temple. Among the most interesting sights of the Necropolis we must also mention the tomb of Tutankhamun. This is the only crypt in the valley of the kings, which was not yet extinct in antiquity.
