An unusual attraction can be found behind the cemetery Starý židovský hřbitov na Žižkově. We are here referring to the Žižkovská televizní věž. The fact is that the tower is decorated with an unusual sculptural composition – crawling Miminika (and each such “baby” weighs 700 kg). The sculpture was created by David Cerny. Inside the tower, there is a bar and a restaurant, and observation platforms from which you can view the cemetery flooded with vegetation, which inspires some peace in the soul. Another unusual structure is Tančící dům, built by the famous architect Frank Gehry along with Vlado Milunic.
Being in the capital of the Czech Republic, you cannot avoid the Franz Kafka Museum. It is situated on the left side of Karlův most, in Malá Strana. Among the exhibits you will find here are correspondence, photo expositions, first editions of the works of the great native of the city, as well as his drawings. Fans can get to purchase any of the author’s books. Not far from the museum is Nejužší pražská ulička – the narrowest (its width is only 70 cm), as well as one of the oldest streets of Jaroslav Hasek’s hometown. Everyone will also find interesting the Sex Machines Museum which is located in the Old Town. Yet another fascinating place is Muzeum středověkých mučících nástrojů, where you will be surprised at how creative a human can be when it comes to tortures.
