Respect and equal treatment of all in the country is the norm for Canadians. It is not customary in the country to evaluate other people by clothing, car or work. Sufficiency has no role; the determining factor is the person himself and his successes. Canadians first say or write their name, and only then surname, demonstrating in such a way that the person himself is more important than his origin. However, people who violate the law are treated very harshly in the country. Such people lose all credibility in the eyes of society. Another characteristic of Canadians is politeness. They are incredibly polite; the habit of asking for forgiveness is in their blood. "Sorry" is one of the most popular words among locals. They greet and are interested in the affairs of everyone they meet - the bus driver or the tourist who asked for directions.
It is common in the country to help each other and be always positive. On holidays, it is possible to easily find a person who gratuitously agrees to drive up to the house of a drunken person. Canadians give gifts to unfamiliar children, they can give their things to a homeless person, because he needs them more. Canadians always smile; the smile is part of their culture and way of communication. Visitors always quickly become infected with this habit and start smiling with the locals, rejoicing in the most common facets of life. Old people and disabled people in the country are treated with special attention. Infrastructures for people with disabilities in the country are incredibly developed; they can go unhindered to absolutely any institution and lead a full-fledged way of life.
