Despite the specificity of the resort, it attracts travelers not only in winter, but also in summer. They come here to relax on the well-equipped beaches on the lake shores. This lake is quite deep, so travelers are offered to take part in entertainments that aren’t typical for such reservoirs, for example, to dive. There are old sunken ships lying at the lake bottom. When diving, you can admire fish and other underwater dwellers.
At the resort, there is a very interesting History Museum. Most of its exhibits date back to the period when the city was founded. Its visitors have an opportunity to see archaeological artifacts found by researchers in this area and evaluate the collection of important historical documents and the first city pictures. Most of the museum exhibits are real pieces of art. It will be very interesting for admirers of paintings to visit the art gallery. It houses unique works of William Cowley, Günter Brus, Terry Winters and other Austrian painters.
In the city surroundings, there is an interesting nature attraction, the Werfen Ice Caves. You can visit them only at certain times of the year.
