The Belvedere Resort located on the border with the French part of the island houses the Parotte Ville Bird Sanctuary. This ornithological reserve makes the resort another fascinating place to visit. The mini-zoo accommodates an impressive variety of birds, being in the picturesque “tropical paradise”. If the trip to the capital of the Dutch part of the island is in the company of children, it is worth visiting the entertainment center Kidsworld-SXM. Among the clubs and bars in the Dutch part, a few more places deserve to be pointed out. For example, a bar with excellent views of the beach – Juggie’s Place (located in Philipsburg), bars on ships – JabJabs Boat Bar and Pink Iguana (located in Simpson Bay), as well as a lounge bar – Pub Crawl Sint Maarten (situated in Simpson Bay too).
The French part of Sint Maarten is full of interesting places too like Minigolf Green course (located not far from Grand Kaz), which is also well decorated. Quartier d'Orléans will delight animal lovers. For example, you can find here the excellent equestrian center Bayside Riding Club Ranch, thanks to which your trip to Sint Maarten will be complemented by a horseback excursion through its scenic expanses. You should also not overlook the “tropical paradise” – the garden of living butterflies La Ferme Des Papillons, which will amaze you with its fabulousness. There are more than one hundred species of butterflies in the garden, many of which are truly exotic. Watching such beauty is a pleasure that should not be missed.
