The old fishing village of Sagres is home to a unique sea attraction, as here is the biggest wind rose in the country; its diameter is 43 meters. There is also the curious natural landmark, Ponta Sagres. This unusual stone formation looks like a huge finger pointing towards the sea.
Several important religious sites, including Igreja de S. António are situated in Lagos. There are also several interesting museums in the city. Many excursions cover the town of Portimao.
