Magdeburg is divided into two parts - the "spiritual" and "secular." In "secular" part of the city is located Market Square, which overlooks the two-story City Hall built in the XVII century and featuring the early Baroque style. In front of the City Hall is installed the monument devoted to Roland - the knight and the keeper of the city. He is also a symbol of justice and protects Magdeburg from various disasters such as plague or war. We suggest entering a wine restaurant located on this square. "Spiritual" part of the city is represented by numerous monasteries and churches.
