An old market square is a traditional starting point of many excursion routes. The square is the location of the main architectural monument of Wroclaw - the building of City Hall. St. John's Cathedral is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful buildings of the area. This is a beautiful Gothic building, which never ceases to amaze visitors with its grandeur and grace. It is believed that the cathedral was the first Gothic building constructed in the country. During the Second World War the cathedral was damaged severely, but skillful architects managed to restore it.
St. Elizabeth is definitely among other religious sights recommended for visiting. The height of the church’s bell tower reaches 90 meters. Tourists should definitely come inside in order to see the design of the interior premises. Visitors are also welcome to climb up the spiral staircase to the top of the bell tower. The top of the tower is equipped with an observation deck, which provides magnificent panoramic views of the city. Fans of nature sights will surely enjoy their visit to Wroclaw Japanese Garden, which was opened in 1913 in honor of an international exhibition. Best gardeners of Poland and Japan worked together over the creation of this beautiful garden.
