Kasteel Dussen is a must-visit due to the fact that it has a rich history. The start of its place leads to 1393 when a castle was constructed here by the order of Arend II van der Düssen. After that, the building suffered from a flood in 1421 and was restored in 1456. Later the castle served as an important strategic object, first in the Napoleonic wars and later in World War II; the left and middle towers were completely destroyed. It is for this reason that you should definitely visit the castle – dipping into the historic atmosphere is guaranteed. The only nuance is that not all parts of the castle are accessible for visiting.
Another building with a rich history is called Het Witte Kasteel. It is not very big, but it has a rich history which starts in 1387.
