The building of an ancient synagogue has been preserved in the Ukrainian city of Uzhhorod. It is also a striking example of the Byzantine style. Its construction was completed in 1904. The synagogue is not used for its intended purpose today. The Regional Philharmonic Hall is located in it. Kyiv Electric Transport Plant was founded in 1906. Trams were the main form of public transport for Kyiv in the early 20th century. Tram depots alone were not enough to carry out their repair. This was the impetus for the construction of a new large plant. The plant reached its peak during the communist period. It set a real-world record in the middle of the 20th century. Famous Zholkovskaya Synagogue is located in the Ukrainian city of Zhovkva. It is also considered a religious monument of world significance. The very first synagogue was built on its site in the early 17th century. It was located in a small wooden building. It lasted less than ten years.
