The Czech Republic Wants to Attract More Millennial Travelers
While the Czech Republic is a well-known and established destination for European travelers, many people around the world don’t know much about this Central European country. The local tourism office decided to change this and target one of the most lucrative target groups millennial travelers in the United States. The latest promotional campaign, the Czech Republic’s Stories of Resilience, has become a huge hit, attracting the attention of young tourists around the world.
The promotional campaign focuses on heartwarming experiences in the Czech Republic, tells more about local businesses and how they survive during the pandemic. While hotels in Prague, Brno, or Karlovy Vary lack guests because of coronavirus limitations, the vaccination is undergoing in the United States. Many of the vaccinated people are eager to travel and are now looking for new and unique destinations and authentic experiences. They are particularly interested in overseas countries since people were unable to travel abroad since early 2020.
Often referred to as “the most handsome city of Europe”, Prague is a great place to enjoy warm summer days. Moreover, the enchanting landscapes of Bohemia look particularly appealing for travel-hungry millennials in search of exceptional experiences and new cultural discoveries. In a series of videos, the Czech tourism bureau makes viewers acquainted with café owners, tour guides, restaurant chefs, ballet dancers, and other people who live in the city of Prague. Each video is a short and emotional story about the lives of different people and the impact of the pandemic on them and their families. These stories also have a deeper insight into the history and culture of the Czech Republic. Beautiful views, Czech music, sights, and heartwarming stories have been welcomed by travelers around the world.
In just 7 days, the Facebook campaign amassed almost 1 million views, with more than a half of the audience (65%) being people aged 25 to 44. The Czech tourism office didn’t expect such success this campaign has attracted 250% more attention than the industry average. This is another proof that people are interested in visiting Prague and other cities of the Czech Republic.
Famous for its spectacular nature, vast outdoor experiences, and rich historic heritage, the Czech Republic has always been a popular destination but it was famous mostly among other European travelers. Now US travelers are discovering this beautiful country that provides exceptional value for the money.
