Marriott to Open 8 New Fairfield Hotels in Japan

News Marriott International doesn’t plan to stop its expansion activities and announces new additions to its portfolio in Japan. The famous hotelier will add eight new Fairfield hotels, doubling the presence of this brand in the country. To make this possible, Marriott partnered with Sekisui House, a famous Japanese developer. Together, the companies have an ambitious plan of attracting more people to local landmarks known as Michi-no-Eki.

Established more than twenty years ago, Michi-no-Eki are roadside stations where tourists can stay for a short time and continue their way. As a rule, these facilities are located close to UNESCO World Heritage Sites, national parks, and other attractions. Marriott plans to open hotels that will become a part of the Michi-no-Eki system. The first six hotels will start operating already this month. These are Fairfield hotel in Kyoto Kyotamba, Fairfield Gifu Seiryu Satoyama Park, Fairfield hotel in Mino (Gifu), a hotel in Utsunomiya (Tochigi), Fairfield by Marriott Mie Mihama, and a hotel in Gujo (Gifu). One more hotel in Tochigi Prefecture, in Motegi, will open in November. The last hotel, Fairfield by Marriott Kyoto Miyazu, is set to open in December.

Fairfield by Marriott is a relatively new brand on the Japanese market. The first Fairfield hotel opened at the beginning of this year (a hotel in Sapporo). Marriott expressed its excitement regarding the openings and promises to deliver friendly service and a cordial approach to every customer. The warm hospitality and family-like atmosphere have always been the main pillars of the Fairfield brand. The brand also embraces the “beauty in simplicity” concept.

The new hotels will have the signature Fairfield Promise feature – if a guest is not satisfied with service or accommodation, the hotel promises to fix this as soon as possible. Right after arrival, guests come to a comfortable lounge area with seats. All rooms are around 25 square meters and are suitable for both work and rest. They feature free Wi-Fi, comfortable beds, and free breakfasts that can be served as a takeaway meal in bento boxes.

Japan is well-known for its spectacular landmarks, ancient heritage sites, and destinations for any taste. Moreover, unique and diverse Japanese cuisine is one more reason to visit this country. Marriott Michi-no-Eki hotels can help both domestic and international guests to explore the country’s hidden gems with comfort.
