Volvo to Become a Hotelier
Volvo Cars decided to try something totally new and open a boutique hotel. Located in the Swedish Mountains, Northern Sweden, the peaceful hotel will be operating together with Tablet Hotels, hotel operator specializing in luxury properties.
The idea to open a hotel came out as a part of a big advertising campaign of the V90 Cross Country. The new ad campaign targets work-life balance, and a relaxing retreat in the snowy serenity is a wonderful place to reconnect with nature and test the upgraded car.
The Get Away Lodge is available for booking for a short period of time. The secluded boutique hotel is located close to Are village, Jämtland County, famous for winter sports infrastructure and the high class Fäviken Magasinet restaurant that was awarded with two Michelin stars. The lodge is made in traditional Scandinavian style and was carefully renovated in order to provide guests with modern comfort. Travellers are also welcome to book a special package deal with new Volvo V90 Cross Country included. The all-road car is a great way to explore the surroundings and reach the outdoor activities nearby.
According to the research performed by Volvo, six out of ten people want to spend more time outdoors, so the car maker decided to launch a campaign and remind people of their priorities and passions. A vacation in a place like the Get Away Lodge might be a great way to do that. The two bedroom lodge comes with a kitchen, a living room with a fireplace, a dining room, a study room, and even a room for yoga and meditation.
