Earlier we told our readers about a new program by Marriott called TestBED. The accelerator program is aimed to help innovative startups in the hospitality industry. This autumn, the program took place in Europe. Out of 150 competitors, the professional jury selected two and then named the winner a voice-activated personal assistant. Now the winner will have an opportunity to test their innovation at Marriott Hotels during next 6 months and get professional advice from the industry leaders.
The startup is called Dazzle. It’s an in-room personal assistant that is activated by voice. Dazzle is a hybrid product that combines human brain and artificial intelligence to answer questions of hotel guests. The second finalist project is called Jambo. This is a mobile platform with location services, developed for business professionals in order to help them collaborate.
According to judges, they were very excited to see how Dazzle works and how quickly its progress is. They see potential in this startup as it can really help to improve guest experience and satisfaction. Jambo may fit new generation of travellers who are looking for way to connect to other people. This solution may be used as the hotel connection platform. Marriott will support both the startups and will promote them in different events and meetings of industry leaders.
