Onyx Hospitality Group announced the opening of three properties in Laos. These will be upscale hotels in Pakse, Vang Vieng, and Vientiane, famous urban and tourist destinations in the country. All the properties will be branded as Amari hotels. The deal has become possible thanks to collaboration of Onyx with Tang Charoen Group (TCR). The opening of these hotels will mark the debut of Onyx Group on the hospitality market of Laos.
The first hotel will be launched in Vang Vieng in 2017. This is a popular tourist destination in Laos. Other two hotels, a hotel in the capital city Vientiane and one more hotel in the resort city of Pakse, will open later in 2020. The three hotels will have all signature features of Amari brand, such as Breeze Spa, Amaya Food Gallery and traditional meeting spaces.
Laos has become a popular and one of fastest growing tourist destinations in Southeast Asia, so there’s no wonder that many hotel chains see growing potential there. Thanks to introduction of new flight routes and improving infrastructure for tourists, Laos is expected to attract more tourists from all over the world.
