Ascott Debuts with Citadines Brand in Vietnam, UAE, and Malaysia

News The Ascott Limited announced new hotels that will be added to the portfolio of its Citadines brand. These will be first properties in Vietnam, Malaysia and United Arab Emirates. The first hotel will be opened in 2017. This will be Citadines Culture Village Dubai that will be located in the future cultural hub of Dubai. The Citadines Regency Saigon will be a 200 unit hotel in the District 3 of Ho Chi Minh City, a famous commercial destination in Vietnam. This hotel is set to open in 2018, same as the 253 unit Citadines Waterfront Kota Kinabalu.

Citadines is one of the fastest growing brands of the hotelier. In 2004, Ascott acquired the Citadines Apart’hotel hotel chain, which was more than doubled in just 10 years. Initially, the portfolio included 5100 apartment units in 18 cities across Europe, and Ascott managed to increase it to 12000 apartment units in 81 hotels located in 52 cities in Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.

Citadines Regency Saigon will enjoy prime location next to several Grade A office towers, foreign embassies, and numerous entertainment, dining and retail facilities. The hotel will be located in a picturesque place with French colonial buildings and tree-lined avenues. The famous Central Business District (District 1) is located close to the hotel. That is a popular tourist destination famous for such sights as Notre Dame Cathedral, the Reunification Palace, and War Remnants Museum. The hotel will offer apartments of different size from studios to two bedroom apartments.

Citadines Waterfront Kota Kinabalu will be located just 10 minutes away from the Kota Kinabalu International Airport, which is also known as the second busiest airport in Malaysia. Near the hotel, which will offer beautiful views of the South China Sea, guests will find various shopping and dining facilities. The hotel itself will be a part of a mixed use building that will also include a retail mall, offices, a supermarket and several food and beverage outlets.

Finally, Citadines Culture Villabe Dubai will be part of a growing community that will include schools, museums, art galleries, designer boutiques, restaurants and art centres. The hotel will offer fully equipped studios and one bedroom apartments with kitchen, work and living areas.
