InterContinental Group (IHG) has announced the opening of Hotel Indigo in Bath, United Kingdom. The property will be managed by the famous hotelier in accordance with a franchise agreement with St James’ Hotels Group (a subsidiary of Somerston Group), which is known as a long-time partner of IHG. The hotel will become the first Hotel Indigo branded property for Somerston Group.
The new hotel is set to open in 2016. The hotel will have 212 guestrooms and will be rebranded from two existing hotels and a restaurant. All of them occupy same building on South Parade. Hotel Indigo Bath will enjoy prime location in a Grade 1 historic building of Gregorian period located right in the heart of the city. Such famous places as Thermae Bath Spa and Bath Alley are located near the hotel. Hotel Indigo Bath will be a perfect choice for leisure tourists who want to explore the city, which is added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, due to its proximity to all main cultural and historical places of interest. The hotel will feature restaurant, gym and a bar.
The design concept of the Hotel Indigo brand is in reflecting local culture and nature. Hotel Indigo Bath is no exception, and interior design will be greatly influenced by exterior architecture of the building and surroundings. The menu will be also unique and will contain local specialties.
