Accor Group will open three new hotels in French airport Orly. That will be done together with Aeroports de Paris, the owner and developer of the land. The hotels will be open in the Coeur d’Orly district.
The new projects include renovation of the existing Ibis hotel that is set to open in 2016 and two new hotels one more Ibis and Novotel properties (these hotels will open in 2016 and 2017).
According to the hotelier, Paris Orly is an important hub that has convenient location in the central part of southern Paris. The airport is currently undergoing significant modernization that will not only change look of the airport, but will also make it more convenient and welcoming for guests. There will also be a new junction between the west and south terminals that will make it faster to move from one terminal to the other one. After modernization, the airport will get a special office district. The eco-friendly district will consist of several buildings, in one of which the hotel will be located. All the hotels belong to the economy and midscale segments, and they might find their clients as after modernization the capacity of Paris-Orly Airport will be increased by 43%. Upgrade of the existing hotel and addition of two new hotels will add 360 guestrooms to current 840 guestrooms.
Ibis Orly Airport will get 53 new guestrooms. Ibis is an economy hotel brand that is the biggest hotel chain in Europe and the fourth largest economy hotel brand in the world. The newly built Ibis budget will get 154 guestrooms and will offer comfortable guestrooms for 1, 2 and 3 people at an affordable price. Finally, the second newly built hotel, Novotel, will get 153 guestrooms and will offer spacious rooms, areas for children, business facilities, balanced meals, and fitness rooms.
