Meliá Hotels International will strengthen its positions in the Middle East and Asia Pacific and will open two new properties hotels in Doha (Qatar) and Bintan (Indonesia). The leading Spanish hotelier that is known as one of the most famous resort companies in the world will open two new luxury hotels in 2015 and 2017.
The Meliá Doha will be a large hotel that will occupy 39 floors in the famous Bin Samickh tower. The tower is located in West Bay one of the most popular and the most covered district of the Qatari capital. The new hotel will have 282 guestrooms and suites. Facilities will include several restaurants and bars, fitness center, spa and much more. Qatar is famous for its economic prosperity, the country has the highest income per capita in the world, so the choice of Doha was not random.
The second hotel will be opened in Indonesia, the country where Meliá hotels have been present since 1980s. Meliá Bali is a popular choice for leisure travellers from all over the world. Currently, the hotelier is in the process of opening 5 more hotels in the country. The first one will be opened on the paradise island of Bintan that is already often referred to as the new mecca for luxury travellers in South East Asia. The Grand Meliá Bintan will have 120 large suites and 38 villas with bedrooms ranging from one to four. The hotel will feature idyllic atmosphere perfect for travellers who want to relax.
