Tune Hotels, global hotel chain that belongs to the Tune Group, together with Tony Fernandes, who is founder and chief executive of AirAsia, announced their plans to open as many as 25 hotels throughout the UK. The total sum of investment to the country will estimate £200 million.
The announcement appeared together with news regarding the launch of the sixth property of the select-service hotel operator. Tune hotel in Newcastle is a strategic opening for the company, and it will become a wonderful starting point for expansion in Europe.
Tune Hotels is originally a Malaysian company that was established in 2007. The hotelier specializes in moderately priced rooms with everything needed. Rooms come with quality beds and showers, 24h security, and clean environment. For the rest guests will need to pay extra. Such hotels are usually located in central locations, so they will be a good choice for many categories of travellers. Prices in such hotels start at just £25 per night, but travellers can often find special promotions, during which they can book hotels rooms just for £10.
Currently, hotels by Tune are available in nine countries, and every year they serve more than 7 million of passengers. First hotel outside Asia by Tune Hotels was opened in London in 2010. Now the company’s portfolio in the country includes five hotels in London (hotels in Kings Cross, Liverpool Street, Westminster, and Paddington), hotels in Edinburg and Newcastle.
