InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) will increase its presence in the UK by opening four additional hotels under the Holiday Inn brand. One of the largest hotel companies in the world will add properties in Cardiff, Birmingham, West London and London Heathrow Airport.
Holiday Inn hotel in Cardiff will be open first. It will start operating within just a couple of weeks. The hotel will have 95 guestrooms and it will be rebranded from Kew Green Hotels to Holiday Inn. The hotel will certainly attract leisure travellers as Holiday Inn Cardiff features a swimming pool, gym, sauna, spa, meeting and event space, a bar and a restaurant, and new functional lobby. The distance from the hotel to the centre of the city is around three kilometres, but close to the hotel there are a large road and a motorway. Holiday Inn London West will also start operating in August. This hotel will be bigger 225 guestrooms, 150 out of which are refurbished, and 75 guestrooms are completely new. This hotel will be operated by IHG in accordance with franchise agreement with Mango Hotels. Beautiful rooftop terrace, several meeting rooms, fantastic executive rooms, a lobby, a coffee bar, and a restaurant will certainly attract many visitors, the majority of who may be business travellers as the hotel is conveniently located close to many large organizations such as BBC. Leisure travellers will certainly value simple access to Wembley Stadium and Arena. The second hotel in London will be open approximately on the same time. The rebranded 119-room hotel will be operated by IHG in accordance with an agreement with the property owner Arora Hotels Ltd. Located near Heathrow Airport Terminal 5, the hotel is a good choice for corporate and transit visitors.
Finally, Holiday Inn Birmingham North Cannock will start operating in the beginning of 2015. The rebranded hotel will have 95 guestrooms, a sky bar, large meeting and conference rooms, and beautiful panoramic views of the city from high above.
