Mandarin Oriental hotel in Tokyo has announced details of its collaboration with Chef Rene Redzepi and Noma the famous restaurant in Copenhagen, Denmark, that is called the best restaurant in the world four times already by respectable rating The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.
The restaurant will start operating in the Tokyo hotel starting from January 9 and till January 31, 2015. During this period, the signature restaurant of the hotel will be turned to an affiliate of Noma, and the culinary team of original Noma will be transferred to Tokyo. Fifty lucky guests will get a unique opportunity to enjoy exclusive lunch and dinner, and get acquainted with famous philosophic approach of Noma to cuisine. It is reported that the restaurant will offer seasonal menu and will use local Japanese products, as well as influences of Japanese cuisine.
Chef Rene Redzepi is known for his love for Japanese cuisine and so it was his dream to spend some time in the country and couple his vision of cuisine with local Japanese ingredients. Mandarin Oriental, in its turn, is known for its attempts to offer exceptional cuisine, so it was their dream to invite Redzepi and bring award-winning Noma to Japan.
