IHG has announced the opening of two new hotels in Germany. The properties will be opened in accordance with multiple development agreements (MDA) with long-term partners of the company.
First hotel, Holiday Inn Express Siegen will have 120 guestrooms. The hotel will work under a franchise agreement with Tristar Hotel & Management. This is going to be the first hotel in Siegen by IHG. Siegen is rather a small town as its population is around 100,000, but that is a popular university town with many students from all over the world. The hotel is set to open closer to the end of 2015. Holiday Inn Siegen is conveniently located right in the heart of the city, and it is very simple to reach the town’s rail station from the hotel.
Second hotel is Holiday Inn Dusseldorf. This hotel will be bigger it will have 213 guestrooms. Located in Toulouser Allee, the opening of that hotel will mark the return of the brand to the city. The city centre is located near the hotel, and it takes around ten minutes to drive to the hotel from Dusseldorf Airport. Holiday Inn Dusseldorf will greet its first guests in 2016.
Within next six years, IHG plans to open as many as 15 new hotels in Germany. The hotels will operate under 10 brands by IHG. Currently, the internationally famous hotelier has properties in 100 countries, where the company is present in different segments from budget to luxury.
