InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the opening of hotel in Belgrade, Serbia. The new hotel will work under the Crowne Plaza brand, and will be the first hotel operating under this brand in the country. The hotel will be fully equipped for business and leisure travellers, and will have the largest ballroom in the whole country.
The hotel was first opened in 1979 as InterContinental Belgrade. In 2008, the hotel was bought by Delta Holding. The company signed a new agreement with IHG, according to which the famous hotel company invested money into the project. During the renovation, the original look of the hotel was retained, but it was made more up-to-date and fitting requests of modern travellers. The hotel has a beneficial location in the business part of Belgrade. It takes approximately 5 minutes to get to the city centre from the hotel, and around 15 minutes to reach it from Nikola Tesla airport.
The new hotel has 416 guestrooms, its own full-service business centre, two restaurants, a bar in the hotel’s lobby, an exhibition hall, 12 meeting rooms, a spa, and the largest swimming pool among hotels in Serbia. The hotel is a participant of the Crowne Plaza Sleep Advantage programme, which helps creating peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The programme includes wake-up calls, signature beds, special quiet zones throughout the hotel, and aromatherapy use.
