Marriott Hotels is currently launching the new “Meetings Imagined” concept that’s aim is to make meetings more productive and efficient. The hotelier hopes that with Meetings Imagined meetings will become even more visual and social. The new platform is online based and includes all new trends in the field. For example, guests have access to a database with hundreds of creative images. Moreover, visitors can collaborate with hotels through the website to leave feedback, post images and change customizable options. Currently, the new concept is available in selected hotels, but it will be steadily spread to the whole hotel chain.
The core concept of Meetings Imagined takes into consideration modern customers who work in collaboration even if they are in different locations and heavily use modern technologies. Marriott conducted an extensive study, during which it analysed more than 40,000 meetings hosted in Marriott hotels. The most popular reasons for meetings were to celebrate, educate, decide, promote, produce and network. It was decided to develop a new approach to meetings rather than focusing on dates and rates, Marriott will offer meeting space for different occasions. Meeting rooms will be fit to a specific purpose, and this may help visitors host more efficient and engaging meetings.
The new concept is currently available in five US hotels and in several European destinations Marriott Rive Gauche hotel in Paris, Marriott Grosvenor Square hotel in London, Marriott Hotel in Amsterdam, and Marriott Hotel in Munich. More hotels are to be added this year.
