Instagram Competition in Four Seasons Hotel in Hong Kong

The Four Seasons Hong Kong has started a very interesting competition that will be surely of a great interest for fans of the popular online service Instagram. Absolutely everyone, both locals and guests of the city, are welcome to participate in the contest. You will need to make photos of the most popular places in Hong Kong, and the prize definitely deserves the effort – US$4,500 worth items are waiting for the winner. The contest will end on June 25.

The competition has been started by Four Seasons hotel in Hong Kong together with the Hong Kong Tourism Board. The main aim of the project is to attract international attention to the city of Hong Kong and its signature places, such as Tai Hang, Temple Street, Victoria Harbour, and Lamma Island.

Absolutely everyone is welcome to participate in the competition, so you do not need to be a professional photographer with equipment worth thousands of dollars. If you want to become a participant, first you need to follow the account of the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong (SFHongKong). Then you should upload your photo through Instagram, using the hashtag #OurHK and adding geotag and hashtag of the location. Note that participants are allowed to post one photo only. Collages are prohibited, but you are allowed to use photo editing software in addition to Instagram photo editing.

The head judge of the competition is Alex Ogle, Agence France-Press Hong Kong photographer. There will be two winners of the competition. Each of them will receive a two-night luxury weekend at the Four Seasons hotel in Hong Kong. There are also additional prizes, such as Botanical Cure spa treatments, free lunch for two at a Blue Bar, and Champagne Tea in the hotel’s lounge.
