Apogee Investors and Mobilona Space hotels have announced the building of a tremendously large, tall and expensive hotel complex in Spain. The hotel will be built on a man-made island near the Barcelona coast. This hotel will attract visitors not only by its unusual location and modern “science fiction movie” like design, but also by the fact that this is going to be the tallest hotel in Europe! The cost of the project is €1.5 billion (approximately US$1.9 billion).
The date of the hotel’s opening has not been released, but it may take long to build such a hotel complex. The hotel will be named Mobilona Space Hotel, and it will have 2000 guestrooms. The hotel will be managed by one of its owners. The main theme of the hotel will be “space”. Mobilona Space Hotel on Barcelona Island will be 300m tall. The development will include not only a hotel, but also a 24h Space Mall and exclusive condominiums.
The design concept of the new hotel has already been made public. Mobilona spokesman assured press that guests would be stunned by the hotel’s design, and would feel the atmosphere of remote planets and galaxies. Hotel guests will be also offered to try some exclusive experiences, such as weightlessness in a vertical tunnel.
