Hilton Worldwide has confirmed the opening of a new hotel under its DoubleTree by Hilton brand. This will be the second DoubleTree by Hilton in Spain, and it’s scheduled to open already in the beginning of the next year.
The hotel will be converted to DoubleTree in accordance with an agreement with the property’s owner. Currently, the hotel operates as La Mola Hotel & Conference Center that is located north of Barcelona. The news came just a month after the launch of the DoubleTree by Hilton brand in Spain. DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Spa Emporda will mark the brand’s launch in the country.
The DoubleTree by Hilton is an upscale brand that is becoming more and more popular in Europe. Currently, Hilton has more than 55 hotels operating or under development in the region. The hotelier hopes that the brand’s reputation, signature Hilton services, and access to Hilton HHonors loyalty program will make DoubleTree a popular brand across Europe.
The Double Tree by Hilton Hotel & Conference Center La Mola will have 186 guestrooms, and will provide all the signature services, such as warm chocolate chip cookies at check-in, various upscale amenities, and careful attention to energy-use and recycling systems. The hotel will feature 4,500 sq. m. of meeting space with modern equipment, 26 meeting rooms that can house up to 250 people, two large ballrooms, and even two auditoriums with 54 seats each. The hotel is adjacent to an old manor of the 17th century that will be a perfect choice for various celebrations, weddings and other events.
The hotel features an idyllic location in the Sant Llorenc del Munt Nature Reserve. There is a large 45-hole golf course designed by Greg Norman near the hotel. It takes approximately 28 minutes to go to hotel from the central city of Terrassa.
