Wyndham Hotels Enters Bahrain

Wyndham Hotel Group, which is known as the largest hotel company in the world with 7,170 hotels, will finally enter the hotel market of Bahrain. The company will open a hotel in Manama’s Bahrain Bay. The property will be opened in accordance with an agreement of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation with Cooperation Investment House SPC.

The Wyndham Grand Collection-branded property will be located in a prestigious part of Manama. The building of the upscale hotel is to start in the end of 2013. Once finished, Wyndham Grand Manama will feature 260 large guestrooms, which size will range from 46 to 120 square meters. The hotel will be a part of a mixed use development, and will occupy 14 floors of a 50-storey building. The hotel in Manama will have various business and sports facilities. There will be over 500 sq. m. of meeting space, a grand ballroom of 900 sq. m., 2 swimming pools (an indoor and an outdoor ones), and separated health clubs for men and women. By the way, the ballroom will be located on the roof of the building and will feature stunning views of the sea.

As Wyndham’s spokesman mentions, they are very delighted with this project, and plan to build a modern and dynamic hotel. Manama is a cosmopolitan city, and this will be reflected in the hotel. However, the design of Wyndham Grand Manama will be influenced by the history of Bahrain.

Bahrain Bay is a posh waterfront district that is close to main financial and retail spaces of the city. The new hotel by Wyndham will face the World Trade Center. Bahrain Financial Harbor will be just a short walk from the hotel, so it will be a perfect choice for both leisure and business travellers.
