Melia Hotels International will open a theme park resort in 2013. The new resort will be transformed from Producciones de Parques theme park located in Katmandu Park, Mallorca, Spain. The resort will operate under the name Sol Katmandu and is scheduled for opening in 2013.
Guests of this resort will be surrounded by the magnificent atmosphere of Katmandu Park. They will also have free access until 6pm to all attractions of the park that normally require tickets. The hotel also features a private entrance to the park.
The hotel will have special design that reflects the style of the park. Three facades of the resort will feature special effects and innovative architectural mapping will surely amaze guests of Sol Katmandu. The co-founder of Katmandu Park Scott Demerau commented the deal telling they are very happy to start collaboration with such a famous company as Melia Hotels International. The new hotel will be the first resort of its type in Mallorca, so they hope to amaze and delight their future guests.
The opening of Sol Katmandu resort is a part of the global plan of Melia Hotels, which was initially announced in October 2011. The project, which is also known as Calvia Beach Resosrt, implies the opening of a chain of resorts and thus creating a mega large resort that will totally transform the Magaluf area.
