Forbes Travel Guise, which was formerly known as Mobil Travel Guide, has added Shanghai (China) to its list of global destinations. Forbes Travel Guide maintains a list of 5-star hotels throughout the world, which are notable for their outstanding service and quality.
The presence of this city in the list was marked by the addition of two hotels in Shanghai. These are Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund, and The Peninsula Shanghai. These hotels are now present in the list of the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotels. The Peninsula Shanghai has also received one more award – the hotel’s Spa by ESPA is added to Five-Star Spa list. By the way, this is the only spa center in Shanghai that has such a high title from Forbes.
Now these hotels join the premium list of best world-class accommodations. Currently the list contains 57 hotels, 30 hotel spa centers, and 25 restaurants that are located in Americas and Asia. These are not all awards provided by the Forbes, and together with the two hotels in Shanghai 14 more hotels have received Four-Star Award from the Forbes Travel Guide.
These are not all ratings from the Forbes for Shanghai hotels. Now visitors of Forbes Travel Guide’s page, Startle.com, can look through editorially created ratings of Shanghai hotels in accordance with highlighted attributes. Five hotels have been chosen as Top Hotel awards. Top boutique hotel is the Langham, Xintiandi; top historic hotel is Fairmont Peace Hotel; top new hotel is Kerry Hotel, Pudong; top business hotel is The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai; and top technology hotel is The Peninsula Shanghai.
