Marriott International announces new additions to its European portfolio. This time these are 3 new Courtyard branded hotels. Courtyard is a popular upper-moderate chain of hotels around the world, but in Europe the hotelier will present its special design model developed with taking into consideration the region’s peculiarities.
These are the new properties:
- 120-key Courtyard hotel in Le Bourget, France (opens in 2013)
- 170-key Courtyard hotel in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (opens in 2014)
- 175-key Courtyard hotel in Gdynia, Poland (opens in 2014)
The new concept of Marriott Courtyard hotels includes not only changes in design, but also increased functionality and guestrooms. The new rooms will be more comfortable for travellers and simpler to build and operate for hotel owners. Together with Courtyard hotels in Aberdeen and Cologne these hotels will become the pioneers of the new concept.
Courtyard hotel in Le Bourget will be opened in accordance with an agreement with Le Relais de Segur SNC. The hotel will be located right on the territory of Le Bourget airport – the leading private airport better known for its bi-annual International Air Show. The property in Polish city Gdynia is the result of a franchise agreement with the Scandinavian company Hospitality Management. Located in the central part of the city, the hotel is a part of a large mixed-use development with direct access to waterfront. Gdynia is a port city on the Baltic Sea that becomes more famous as a shipping center and tourist destination. Finally, the accommodation in the Netherlands will be also opened as a part of partnership with Scandinavian Hospitality Management. The hotel will be adjacent to Amsterdam Arena – the most famous football stadium of the city.
