The Rezidor Hotel Group has announced new additions to its portfolio – the company will open two hotels in Oslo. These will be the 208-key Park Inn by Radisson Oslo Alna and the 135-key Radisson Blu Hotel in Oslo Alna. Both accommodations will be located in the complex, but in adjacent towers. This means they will have same facilities and same management for two hotels. The owner of these properties is also the same – the local developer Wenaasgruppen. Rezidor will act as the managing company for these hotels.
Currently the internationally famous hotelier has as many as 8 hotels operating in the capital of Norway. The total number of guestrooms together with properties under construction reaches 2,800. The opening of the new accommodations falls under the strategy of the company that now wants to gain success through the opening of multiple hotels in key markets.
Both hotels have advantageous location near the E6 – the main road that connects the central part of Oslo with the local airport. The hotels also have different target auditory. If Radisson Blu is the upper upscale property, Park Inn by Radisson is the midmarket hotel, which main concept is maximum services for reasonable price. The hotels are just 40 kilometers away from the airport and not far away from the center, so they may become a great choice for business and corporate travellers, as well as various meetings and events. Because of this fact the hotels will have extensive business infrastructure including meeting and conference space. Other facilities will include a fitness center, a parking, and restaurants and bars.
Rezidor is currently the biggest hotel operator in Norway – 29 hotels managed by this company work in this country.
