Interstate Hotels & Resorts, which is widely known as the largest independent hotelier in the US, has announced the opening of the new hotel. Ramada Hotel in Alleppey, Kerala, India, will start operating next year. This 120-guestroom property will be opened by JHM Interstate Hotels India – a joint venture between JHM Hotels and Interstate. This will be the sixth hotel of Interstate on the territory of India.
Thomas Hewitt, the company’s chief executive, has commented this deal telling India is currently the key market for the company, and so its global strategy implies opening new hotels in this country. The company plans not to lose a single opportunity and will expand its presence in future.
Ramada hotel in Alleppey will be the first hotel in the region that is managed by the internationally famous hotelier. The hotel has an advantageous location along Lake Punnamada (Ramada Alleppey is built on Punnamada Finishing Point Road). The hotel will be equipped with all modern facilities like a spa center, a health club, a bar and a restaurant on the rooftop of the building. Here visitors will be able to eat high quality food and enjoy fantastic views of Kerala. Business facilities will be represented by a business center, a conference hall, and meeting facilities.
