Rezidor Hotel Group, which is also known as one of the fastest growing hoteliers in the world, has announced its plans concerning the opening of Radisson Blu Hotel in Belgrade, Serbia. The new property may start operating closer to the end of 2013. The hotel will have 236 rooms. The process of the building has already started.
This opening will be the company’s debut on the market of Serbia. The country develops quickly and Belgrade is a dynamic city with over 1.7 million of inhabitants, so opening a hotel there is a good decision. The builder of the hotel is the Austrian Soravia Group. Erste Bank Group and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development act as investors. Besides the hotel the development will include a large office tower with the total square 3,900 sq. meters. This is the first investment of such a large scale in Serbia. There is a lack of business and hotel space that fits highest standards, so the hotelier hopes for success.
Radisson Blu hotel in Belgrade will have an advantageous location in one of the most popular districts of the city which is full of historical sights. There is an old mill on the territory of the development. It will be untouched and will be included into the complete design of this place. The hotel will be a perfect choice for both business and leisure travellers as it features convenient access to “Old Belgrade”, the historical center, and the “New Belgrade” – the business center of the city. Radisson Blu will offer its signature services in the hotel, which will have high speed Internet, a Spa center, a restaurant and a bar, and some business facilities.
