The Orbis Hotel Group announced it had sold the 5-star hotel in Warsaw. Branded by Bristol, this iconic property is now owned by Rosmarinum Investments, which has interactions with Royal Starman Bristol, the hotelier that operates this hotel. The sum of the deal estimated €19.5 million.
Orbis has already commented the deal. According to the company’s representatives, they are very satisfied with the sale price of the hotel. Bristol hotel in Warsaw has never been a core property of the company, so the company has got rid of it in order to reveal funds for new development projects. Orbis also plans to undergo a major rebranding that will concern 18 Ibis and Etap hotels in Poland. After this rebranding Ibis will become the only brand of the company. This so called “Mega Brand” will consist of 3 brands. Ibis hotels will not change their name, All Seasons hotels will change their name to Ibis Styles, and Etap Hotels will be rebranded as Ibis Budget. This rebranding will be done together with the company’s strategic partner – Accor. The internationally famous hotelier does everything to strengthen its leading positions and tries to offer services that fit the expectations of customers.
Orbis is the largest network of hotels in Poland. The company currently manages around 60 hotels with the total number of guestrooms exciding 10 thousand. At the moment Orbis builds 4 more budget hotels in Poland that are scheduled for opening until 2012.
