Naumi, the chain of boutique-hotels famous for numerous awards, has revealed it will open the second hotel in Singapore in 2012.
Just like the first property by the company in this region, Naumi hotel in Seah Street, the new accommodation will not be the newly built accommodation. In previous case the company has refurbished Metropole Hotel closed in 2007, turning it into a high-quality 79-key accommodation. The name of the new hotel is not known. It will borrow the main concept of Naumi – modern design and high-quality service, but unlike the first hotel this accommodation will be friendlier in terms of rates.
Mr Gaurang Jhunjhnuwala, the director of Naumi hotels, tells that this property will target different segments of travellers, including couples, business visitors, and families with children. This hotel is located in Chinatown district that is famous for its rich historical heritage, so travellers may enjoy living in such prime location with reasonable rates.
The hotel is scheduled for opening in the first quarter of 2012. Currently it undergoes renovation that will enlarge the hotel’s capacity, increasing the total number of rooms to 119 from the 40 existing. Naumi also states that this is not the last hotel in Singapore by the company. Hotels in Vietnam and Australia are among other possible locations.
