European hotels organization has published the results of its study concerning the online reputation of accommodations throughout Europe. According to it, hotels in Dresden, Germany, occupy the leading positions, while the performance of hotels in London is surprisingly not valued high by respondents.
In order to conduct a full-scale reputation study, European hotels have asked questions to residents of over 1,000 European cities. Visitors of Trivago and other partner booking websites participated in the survey. Over 28 million of people replied in total.
Hotels in London occupied surprisingly low place. Actually, only three cities performed worse. These are Sliema (Malta), and two Spanish towns – El Arenal and Lloret del Mar.
What cities have also got poor reviews? These are hotels in Copenhagen (Denmark), hotels in Amsterdam, Paris and Geneva accommodations. All these cities are well known as popular tourist destinations, so Trivalgo names such factors as high rates and hotel quality as the main reason for negative feedback. While tourists have to pay more, they expect better service, but expensive cities do not provide it.
Other high-rated locations besides Dresden include hotels in Krakow (Poland), Venice (Italy), Bruges (Belgium), and Budapest (Hungary). Among the UK cities the most popular are hotels in Belfast and Canterbury.
